Polymarket
WhalesX lets you trade Polymarket prediction markets from the Predict tab — crypto up/down windows, sports, politics and events — with the same wallet and the same copy-trading engine you use on Solana.
Access to prediction markets is not available everywhere. Prediction markets are regulated differently from spot crypto, and a number of countries either sanction the underlying protocol or require a local gambling licence we do not hold. Where that is the case, trading is restricted based on the country your connection comes from.
How access is determined
Your country is resolved from the IP address your connection reaches us with — nothing is read from your device, and no location permission is requested. The check runs once when the app loads, and again whenever you connect a wallet.
Depending on that country, the trading panel is in one of three states:

| Close-only | You can exit existing positions and redeem resolved markets, but you cannot open new ones |
| Blocked | No trading. Market data and prices remain visible |
Solana trading is unaffected — these restrictions apply to the Predict tab only.
Close-only is not a freeze. Your funds stay yours: you can sell out of every open position and redeem anything that has resolved, at any time.
What you’ll see
Nothing is hidden. Markets, order books, charts, trade feeds and your own positions stay fully visible in every state — the restriction applies to placing an order, not to reading the market.
Where an order would be refused, the trade button says “Unavailable in your region” instead of Buy or Sell, on both the market page and the quick-trade popover.
In a close-only region that applies to the Buy side only. Switch to Sell and the panel works normally: you can close any position you hold, at the size you hold, and redeem markets that have resolved. In a blocked region both sides are refused.

Trading is unavailable, including closing positions, in jurisdictions under comprehensive international sanctions:
- Cuba
- Iran
- North Korea
- Syria
- Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk regions
Close-only
Existing positions can be closed and redeemed; no new positions can be opened.

The United States is restricted country-wide, whichever state you connect from. Canada is restricted at the province level — province-level enforcement is being rolled out, so parts of the Canadian list may not be active yet. The same applies to the occupied Ukrainian regions listed above.
Everywhere else is open. The lists above cover 39 countries out of roughly 250 — the rest of the world can open and close positions normally, copy trading included. This mirrors the restricted-jurisdiction list Polymarket publishes for its own platform.
Using a VPN
Your location is determined from your IP address, and that is the only signal we use. We do not profile your connection or attempt to detect the tools you run.
Bypassing a restriction to access markets that are not available in your country is a breach of our Terms of Use, and you do it at your own risk. If a market you opened that way is later disputed, frozen or resolved against you, we cannot intervene on your behalf.
Changes to this list
Prediction markets are moving fast in most jurisdictions, and regulators are active. This list mirrors the restrictions applied by Polymarket itself and is updated as rules change — a country can move to close-only, or reopen, without notice. If you already hold positions when a country changes state, you keep the ability to close and redeem them.
